Yahoo will give up on seven products

Starting April 1, without being a joke, Message Boards, Avatars, Sports IQ and Clues will be closed. BlackBerry devices will get a shot by deleting the application from BlackBerry App World Yahoo! Starting on the same date. Although users have installed that application by that date will be able to use effective application unfortunately will not receive future updates and support.

Because at first glance many services will be closed but will remain functional from Yahoo! felt the need to mention some exceptions which will remain in effect. Yahoo! Finance will continue and Fantasy Sports Message Board still remains functional.

"The critical question we ask is whether the experience with these applications is really a process that we go through every day " wrote Jay Rossiter, executive vice president at Yahoo. Moreover, Marissa Mayer decided that Yahoo will keep 12 to 15 applications for mobile phones, instead of the 70 it currently has.

Date by which users will be able to download Yahoo for BlackBerry application is April 1, the day that Yahoo will give up the Yahoo Avatars, Yahoo App Search, Yahoo Sports IQ, Yahoo Clues, Yahoo website and Yahoo Message Boards updates API.
