iOS Harlem Shake

Harlem Shake has conquered the Internet with more and more original versions taking place every day.
The Harlem shakes series is part novel and movie above you can notice how the iOS icons make it. As expected this artistic number and was conducted on a Jailbreak phone by Filippo Bigarella (application developer). It was obvious that Apple wouldn’t include such a "blasphemy" to the list of applications in the App Store, no matter how funny it is.
We must confess that we would like to be able to use the Harlem Shake on our friend’s iPhones even as a joke, but unfortunately for now this tweak has not been released.

Before iPhone became The iPhone

We all seen them pop up on eBay or in leaked photos. But most of them where just approximations of the first iPhone released in 2007 or later models.
What we don’t usually see are Apple prototypes, mainly from the early models before the iPhone started to look like an iPhone. Here we have a series of early 2005 model.
As shown the as a prototype few ports usually seen on computers then mobile devices , including USB ports , Ethernet port and even a serial port.
Apple didn’t intend to put all of these into the final product, these were just for the development prototype.  The Ethernet and serial were included just to make the device easier to work with.
This early prototype was quite large at around 7"×5" and about two inched think. At the time it was  impressive running on a version of OS X.

The chip resembled a variant of Samsung's S3C2410 clocked at 200-233 MHz, while the first iPhone used a 620 MHz chip under clocked to 412 MHz.

Turning Atari 2600 in Iphone dock

For the art of modifying has no limits, a creative gentleman made two audio dock for iDevice's from Atari 2600 consoles.
In a time where amateurs of classic consoles will be tricked to pay fabulous sums of money for a good Atari 2600, a Brit put two such consoles out of order. Because they couldn’t be repaired, the two devices have been turned into audio docks.
An audio dock that can accommodate an iPad and one that can accommodate an iPhone were the results of an experiment from Cult of Mac. Peter Morris is the man who brought out the work in such an elegant way, that you’d say he’s working on building a concept for store product. Inside the plastic and wood cases were introduced a digital audio amplifier, a 3.5 mm jack for other audio sources and an infrared sensor for interaction with a remote control.
From melancholy or just the need of money, both creations could be purchased with $ 269, and $ 224 iPad version and the iPhone version. Problems with the sale didn’t exist, because the level of enthusiasm is so high for such unique gadgets, that doesn’t see them sitting too long on sites like eBay.

A new day, a new interesting Kickstarter funding project was found: a temperature sensor can be connected directly to the smartphone to provide exact details on temperature.
We’ve seen quite a few accessories before that turn your smartphone into an ordinary room thermometer. What is so special about Thermodo? Well first of all it can be connected directly to the phone via the audio port and gives temperature information recorded near the phone. Who sold smartphones in 2012?

Samsung had a great year. For the first time in the company's history, the South Korean giant has received the title of largest global producer of smartphones. Given that we are talking about a company that deals exclusively for smartphones, the achievement is even more spectacular. This performance is measured in 215 million smartphones sold and a market share of 30.9 percent, up from 18.7 percent the previous year. Compared to 2011, Samsung has brought in the hands of users 136% more smartphones in 2012.

In theory, Apple had a very good year. I say in theory because although last year Apple sold 135.8 million iPhones compared to 93.1 million in 2011, this amount was reflected in an increase of only 0.4 percent of the market share. Therefore, if in 2011, Apple was the first producer of smartphones in the world, with 19.1 percent, and in 2012, came second with 19.5 percent. Together, Samsung and Apple currently owns over half of the smartphone market. By the rest of the producers, the difference from heaven to earth.

Huawei is in third place with 7.9% and must work incredibly hard to keep this place in the rankings because other companies like Nokia, BlackBerry, HTC and Sony are also competing to enter the top three in 2013. The problem is that only third place will be available.

Nokia had last year 5% of the market, given that in 2011 had 15.9%. RIM's market share was 4.8%, down from the 10.8% the previous year. HTC took 4.5% of the market compared to the 9.2 in 2011. All went down, with very few exceptions. You may be tempted to boast Huawei or ZTE results. In reality, these increases were due exclusively to the Chinese market, so small that there is little chance that the next phone you buy will be a ZTE, especially if you look at a high-end terminal or if you previously had a Samsung Galaxy S or Apple iPhone.

In the same category as ZTE and Huawei might go Lenovo. However, the performance of the company, which has since has grown to have its headquarters in North Carolina, is completely different. Lenovo didn’t made phones three years ago. The fact that in 2012 managed to sell 24.9 million devices, proves that Lenovo found a recipe that many have had it in the past and lost it.

Who dominates the smartphone market ?

In the first months of the year, the major statistics companies are fighting to tell us who dominates the smartphone market. Based on this information, to see what has changed in the last 12 months and especially how hard it is to change something in a field dominated by two players.
It seems simple. Manufacturers launch more and more powerful phones, sign contracts with mobile operators and consumers end up changing their phone every year ... really that simple? But the reality is that most manufacturers impress increasingly less. For these devices the market is growing from year to year, but there are fewer manufacturers getting richer from this.

The current phenomenon reminds me of the launch of the first iPad, a device that wasn’t described in megahertz, megabytes or milliamps. Again, specs matter less the brand name increasingly more. Obscure or less obscure companies launch phones that you do not buy, even if in terms of specifications might be close those of the S3.

In 2013, when we think of smartphones, we are talking about a customer base that craves for the latest Galaxy or dreaming of the next iPhone. Companies have created fans as if where rock bands. Launching new devices seem like concerts and the first reviews are no longer limited to tests and specifications, but the impressions, feelings and systems. In this system, users of the Galaxy S II or S3 and will not buy anything than a new Galaxy S or possibly a Note. The same is true with iPhone users who would not abandon their precious iDevices.
