Sol Computers launches a Pixel Qi display for bright light

Although I read a lot of information about Pixel Qi’s panel skills, the creation of Sol Computers is one of the only commercially available.

Sol Computers has launched a very interesting display for those who want to make presentations on the move or who work in bright sunlight. Exclusively powered by a USB port, the monitor has a diagonal of 10 inches.

His great advantage over other similar portable screens is given by incorporating a Pixel Qi panel. Such screens are some of the most popular in the world when it comes to spectacular performance in natural light conditions. Those who have played with such screens describe the experience as similar to an electronic ink panel. The significant compared to other screens available on the market is the function to activate and deactivate of retro-illumination panel. Thus, in interior light illumination is activated for strong colors and a spectacular view, while, in natural light, disables the backlight to get a clear picture similar to that displayed on black and white panel.

Unfortunately, such a monitor for demanding professionals is not very cheap. Although no advantage to make a presentation in the park will overcome the cost .For those who want it is no less than $ 800.

Google Glass parodies have begun

Let's face it: most of us do not skydive, nor are given a skateboard, reason why Google Glasses will be used in ordinary situations.

Even if we don’t see Google glasses in stores anytime soon, that doesn’t mean they can’t already appear on the internet parodies about the gadgets functionality.

The first video in a series of jokes available on YouTube can be viewed below. It shows a plausible scenario how an individual can use Google Glasses for ladies resorting to some tricks during a date. Personally, I would like to classify this short film only as a bad joke, but I'm afraid that most of us would rather be doing something similar to the individual. After all, did nothing to find out in real time from social networks about the ladies passions, sought some jokes that fit in context in order to impress her and took a picture with his partner’s cleavage.

Don’t this glasses will be often used in such interactions than those described by Google in the promotional materials?

Vuzix M100- The inteligent glasses

Vuzix M100 began to reach application developers rush to market launch.

Smart glasses made by Vuzix seem to have the main goal to launch it before the much publicized Google Glass.

In essence, smart glasses are quite similar to the Google Glass and until now have not enjoyed much attention from the international media. Therefore a good solution will be to launch as quickly as possible to get a good lead from the main competitor to Google. If you're wondering what would be good for these great glasses, you should know that Vuzix M100 is an extension of the smartphone in your pocket and more. You can access content, will help to shoot films, photos, run Android apps or take contact with augmented reality.

No matter how useful it may be, one thing is very clear, smart glasses are likely to become a new trend in terms of cool gadgets. Most likely in the near future we will see an explosion of these devices, but the real war front will give compatible applications, which help us in everyday tasks. Vuzix “tests the watter” with Vuzix M100, but considering the power and involvement of Google I find it hard to believe that the search giant is threatened in any way.

Long term remains to be seen how manufacturers will be able to improve and promote such devices designed to change the way we use mobile technology.

Asus Transformer Book Debuts in Japan

It is amazing how some manufacturers like ASUS fail to give a completely new design concept hybrid with Windows 8.

For products unfortunately we do not always appear first in Europe or the U.S., Transformer Book of the image will make its debut this week in Japan.

With a variation of processors and specifications, the concept in the image could be one of the most well-developed hybrids. Basically there are two versions, one with Intel Core i5 and one with Intel Core i7. The one with Ivy Bridge i5 will be priced with the equivalent of $ 1,280, while the i7 configuration will jump to $ 1630. Worth to note that even in Japan, those who wanted a version with Intel Core i7 have to wait a week or two.

In reality, the product is a tablet that becomes a real laptop when connected to the keyboard dock. 950 grams tablet integrates a 13.3-inch Full HD display, 4GB RAM and a 128GB SSD plus a place for micro SD cards. If you dock your tablet, you win an extra 500GB hard drive, two USB 3.0 ports, SD card reader, video outputs and an extra hour of battery life. In total, ASUS promises 6 hours of autonomy when docked and five hours without it.

Although the price is one of the lowest for an ultrabook or a hybrid compensated with high performance, justifies the price premium charged by ASUS for TransBook.
